Note: I use roll chart and route sheet interchangeably throughout the program.
If you make an error on a entry, click on the D to the left of the entry to remove it and then add a new one in its place. Since this is so easy to do with anything except a note entry I have decided not to create edit options for these entries.
This entry is used to display turns or straights. Usually at road sections.
This entry is to change the speed on the course and is normally used in increments of 6.
This is an entry that advances mileage and allows most riders to get back on time after a tough section and is usually used to keep riders from racing down road sections. When a rider gets to a Reset they advance the mileage to the Reset mileage and wait until time catches up before riding on.
This entry is set to 2.9 or 3.0 and allows a rider to verify that their odometer mileage is set correctly with the odometer used to measure the course.
A note can be added and displayed at any mileage.
A Gas Stop has the same rules as a known control usually with timed checks no closer than 2 miles before, or 3 miles after the Gas Stop.
A Gas Available is similar to a Gas Stop, but no rules apply as far as locations of check points.
This is an entry that will display as the first row of the roll chart and display as Start at 0 miles and the key time.
This is just an End of the race note. Although you do not have to display the End note on the route sheet, you must enter it to create a possibles sheet. This allows calculations to be made to the End mileage you determine.
Free Time is the same as Break, Pause, Wait, or Layover but since it is more commonly used I created it with its own entry form. A Free Time entry is used to give users time without the mileage progressing. This is very similar to a Reset except only the time changes.
Example: If the race starts at 9:00am and the start speed is 24 MPH and you add a Free Time for 10 minutes at mile 24.00 - 10:00am. A rider who is on time would wait until 10:10am to start again still at mile 24.00.

A timed check point whose location is known to all participants.
This is to let riders know there will be no check points from the mileage displayed until the "Free to" mileage.
This differs from a normal Reset in that the reset back to zero happens instantly at the mile selected and there is no free time even for riders who are on time. This is used mainly for a second loop when the club wants it to start at zero miles like the first but the time continues to accumulate from the first loop.
** SPECIAL NOTE ABOUT USING THIS ENTRY TYPE **
In some instances you may see an error in the calculations for this entry. It will only occur if there is more than one Reset to Zero entry and in testing only if the second reset to zero is at a higher mileage then the first one. Since this should be a very rare occasion I am not going to try to program differently unless there are many users doing this.
If you enter several entries with the same mileage they will be listed in the following order.
After your roll chart is complete you can save an Adobe PDF file to put on your website or send to the webmaster of your website to post. You can select this from the home page or the data entry page for the roll chart. From either link you will be directed to a page that lets you change print options for creating the PDF file.
If you feel there are more help file entries needed, please email me at the link on the bottom of the page and let me know what it is.
